Mind in Furness members off to Old Hall Farm next month

MEMBERS and staff from Mind in Furness are off on a trip to Old Hall Farm next month. On April 6 a coach will depart from the School Street HQ, Barrow.

The cost of the trip is £8 and only open to Mind members.

Old Hall Farm in Bouth, near Ulverston, opens for the 2017 season on April 3, 10am to 5pm –Go and try our their new Milk Bar serving all kinds of dairy delights including Jersey milk coffees, hot chocolates and our new milkshakes.

Old Hall Farm is worked using 19th century methods to grow its crops and harvest the land. Horse power alongside steam and early vintage tractors and their implements are the way the farm is operated. The historic buildings housing their stock and the steam driven dairy is a unique sight to behold. The farm is mostly self sufficient growing its own feed and produce and rearing its replacement stock. Manual labour, old techniques and hard work is the key to our historic working farm.

IF you're a Mind in Furness member and want to go on the trip ask a member of staff or call us at Mind on 01229 827094. There are also posters up around the building for members to sign up. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
